Localization Guide

The Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme has published a number of e-primers on the topic of free/open source software. Part of these are what are most likely the most comprehensive introductions to the area of FOSS localisation. These books also cover detailed questions, such as font creation for Linux (you have to scroll down a bit on that page to get to the section).

This newsletter by Corinne McKay provides current information on free / open source software for translation professionals, but also features articles on related tools and projects.
