ApSIC Tools

ApSIC provides two freeware tools for translators and localisers. Xbench is a tool for viewing terminology. Comparator can be used to show changes made by a reviewer to a translated document.

MaxPrograms

Rodolfo M. Raya's website provides five useful tools. RTFStyler can be used to convert RTF documents to "uncleaned" files. RTFCleaner does the reverse, i.e. "clean up" Trados-style files. CSVConverter will create TMX files from comma-separated files (CSV). TBXMaker will create TBX files from CSV. TMXValidator can be used to check the validity of TMX files.

TripleSpin LocFactory

This XLIFF editor by TripleSpin for Mac is available in a free version. It can also be used for translating PO files.
